About Steve Albenze
The attorney behind The Albenze Firm — and the promise to get every client paid.
Steve Albenze is an Ohio trial attorney who built his career in the courtroom — first prosecuting cases, then representing injured people against insurance companies, hospitals, and government institutions. His promise to every client is simple: an attorney who answers the phone, tells the truth, and fights without flinching.
A Career Built on Trial Work
Steve graduated from The Ohio State University in 2008 and earned his J.D. from Ohio Northern University's Pettit College of Law in 2011, where he excelled in Trial Advocacy. Admitted to the Ohio bar in 2012, he began his career at the Lorain County Prosecutor's Office — trying criminal cases and learning, from the inside, exactly how evidence is built, challenged, and won.
In 2014 he moved into civil litigation, personal injury, and medical malpractice, trying cases against major health insurance providers. After a partnership at Berki & Albenze LLC, he founded his own Elyria practice, Albenze Law Group — which has evolved into The Albenze Firm, representing clients across Ohio in state and federal courts. He was selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list every year from 2018 through 2022 — a peer-reviewed recognition limited to a small fraction of Ohio attorneys.

Why the Prosecutor's Background Matters for Your Injury Case
Insurance companies and their defense firms build cases the way prosecutors do: methodically, on evidence, expecting the other side to blink. Steve doesn't blink — he prepares every injury case as if a jury will decide it, because insurers pay full value only when they believe the file will hold up in a courtroom.
