Erie County's High-Crash Roads and Intersections (2017-2024 Data)
Where do crashes cluster in Erie County? The Erie Regional Planning Commission publishes the roads and intersections where crashes concentrate, and Erie Regional Planning Commission reports are the most recent. The Erie Regional Planning Commission's crash summary counts crashes at intersections for 2017-2019, and its 2026 US 6 corridor study covers 2022-2024. Both counts are observed crashes. Every figure below is quoted from the agency's own report with its data years, and each line links to its source.

What a crash count does and does not tell you
A crash count describes a road, not who caused a particular crash. Fault in an Ohio injury claim turns on the evidence from that crash: the crash report, photos, witnesses and vehicle data. Ohio's comparative fault rule reduces a recovery by the injured person's share of fault and bars it above 50 percent (Ohio Rev. Code § 2315.33), and most Ohio injury lawsuits must be filed within two years (Ohio Rev. Code § 2305.10).
Hurt in a crash in Erie County?
Get medical care the same day; photograph the vehicles, the roadway and your injuries; get the crash report number from the responding agency; collect witness names and phone numbers; and say nothing to the other driver's insurance company until you have talked to a lawyer.
