Medina County's High-Crash Roads and Intersections (2022-2023 Data)

Where do crashes cluster in Medina County? NOACA, the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency, publishes the roads and intersections where crashes concentrate, and NOACA's 2024-2025 Community Safety Reports are the most recent. NOACA ranks roads and intersections by their expected average crash frequency, a Highway Safety Manual estimate that blends road design, traffic volume and the 2022-2023 crash history, so a rank is not simply a crash count. Its city reports also list each road segment's observed average recorded crashes per year, and those are the counts quoted below. Every figure below is quoted from the agency's own report with its data years, and each line links to its source.

What a crash count does and does not tell you

A crash count describes a road, not who caused a particular crash. Fault in an Ohio injury claim turns on the evidence from that crash: the crash report, photos, witnesses and vehicle data. Ohio's comparative fault rule reduces a recovery by the injured person's share of fault and bars it above 50 percent (Ohio Rev. Code § 2315.33), and most Ohio injury lawsuits must be filed within two years (Ohio Rev. Code § 2305.10).

Hurt in a crash in Medina County?

Get medical care the same day; photograph the vehicles, the roadway and your injuries; get the crash report number from the responding agency; collect witness names and phone numbers; and say nothing to the other driver's insurance company until you have talked to a lawyer. You are not required to give a recorded statement.
