Montgomery County's High-Crash Roads and Intersections (2021-2023 Data)

Where do crashes cluster in Montgomery County? MVRPC, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, publishes the roads and intersections where crashes concentrate, and MVRPC's Top 100 High-Crash Intersections and Road Segments (SFY2025) are the most recent. MVRPC covers regionally significant roads with at least 10 crashes and ranks them by a points score built from crash frequency, crash rate, a severity index and equivalent property-damage-only crashes; the crash counts themselves are observed counts for 2021-2023. Every figure below is quoted from the agency's own report with its data years, and each line links to its source.

What a crash count does and does not tell you

A crash count describes a road, not who caused a particular crash. Fault in an Ohio injury claim turns on the evidence from that crash: the crash report, photos, witnesses and vehicle data. Ohio's comparative fault rule reduces a recovery by the injured person's share of fault and bars it above 50 percent (Ohio Rev. Code § 2315.33), and most Ohio injury lawsuits must be filed within two years (Ohio Rev. Code § 2305.10).

Hurt in a crash in Montgomery County?

Get medical care the same day; photograph the vehicles, the roadway and your injuries; get the crash report number from the responding agency; collect witness names and phone numbers; and say nothing to the other driver's insurance company until you have talked to a lawyer. You are not required to give a recorded statement.
